This three-bedroom apartment on Park Avenue underwent a full renovation with custom cabinetry and furniture. The client was a young family who wanted to have a bit of fun with the design. Accordingly, the space makes use of traditional coloring with clever twist, implementing a neutral scheme with a splash of color to lighten things up. A few examples are the study, comprising striking cadet blue millwork and an antelope pattern carpet, combined with a traditional massive brown couch, or the living room, in which the pale, overstuffed furniture serves as a background for the bright rose silk rug in the living room and the fun twist in the artwork.
The period style bedroom features a custom headboard with silk fabrics and draperies, and a unique mirrored drawer chest. Even the hallway has some unusual pieces - a unique custom Rococo style bench in the hallway, outlined in silver over herringbone oak flooring.
